The Langham, Gold Coast has an opportunity for an Assistant Human Resources Manager, to support the HR Department and drive our service & colleague culture across The Property.

Key Responsibilities
Make your story our Legacy as you play a key role in attracting, selecting and onboarding top talent, ensuring we build strong and capable teams to support our business and guest focus.  While recruitment will be your primary focus, this role also offers exposure to a wide range of HR functions, giving you the chance to develop and expand your skills in employee relations, performance management and workforce planning. 

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, from advertising through to onboarding
  • Partner with managers to understand workforce needs and develop sourcing strategies
  • Support employee lifecycle activities, including contracts, policies and HR Systems
  • Contribute to HR projects and initiatives, supporting business improvement, guest focus and employee engagement
  • Provide advice and assistance to employee and managers on general HR queries

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this role takes a proactive role in supporting candidate and employee experiences.  As the Assistant Human Resources Manager, you will be a true ambassador of our service culture and the company Vision, Mission, and Values and be a key driver of our pursuit of excellence.

Qualifications & Skills
To be successful in the role you will have been in the same or similar position in a dynamic environment and are truly passionate about the Industry and the employee experience.  Other key attributes we are looking for include:

  • At least 2 years recruitment experience
  • Passion for service excellence and providing superior internal customer service
  • Personable and professional – able to build rapport quickly and effectively
  • Administration experience and ability to learn systems and concepts quickly
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Awareness of Modern Awards including the HIGA 
  • Additional Qualifications in Human Resources/Business would be advantageous
  • Australian work rights
