The Langham, Gold Coast offers guests a variety of venues each with their own unique ‘flavour’ and offerings, with one thing for certain – our cuisine will always be an experience to look forward to.  We are seeking an innovative and passionate Commis Chef to deliver a memorable experience by creating a place to savour for our guests and establish The Langham, Gold Coast as a dining institution. 

Key Responsibilities

Our Commis Chef will be driven to work alongside highly skilled chefs, refining your technique as well as contributing to a world-class guest experience. 

• Prepare, cook and present high quality a la carte dishes to five-star standards
• Work collaboratively within a friendly, fast paced, professional kitchen environment
• Support Senior Chefs in daily kitchen operations and service delivery
• Maintain consistency, presentation and flavour across all dishes
• Adhere to strict food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards
  

About You

Key attributes we are looking for include:

• Sound knowledge of the latest trends in the Industry
• Passion for service excellence and providing superior hospitality experience
• Proven ability to work in a high pressure and fast-paced environment 
• Creative with an eye for detail and a flair for presentation
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Completed technical education in hospitality or culinary school
• Australian work rights. Please note we are unable to offer Sponsorship for this position.
